From Leopoldsberg to Cobenzel
Sunday, March 22, 2026 • 10:34 • Leopoldsberg bus station (38A)
On our March hike we can observe how nature awakens from its winter rest.
We will have several opportunities to enjoy beautiful views over the city from above.
We begin with a walk around Leopoldsberg with views over Vienna and Klosterneuburg.
We then continue to Kahlenberg, from where, in good weather, impressive views also await us.
Afterwards we follow the ridge through the forest, where we will also take a break for mindful eating.
We end the tour at the beautiful meadows near Cobenzel with a lovely view over Vienna.
We walk in silence. During rest breaks there is opportunity for exchange. During the hike we practice
various mindfulness practices from the Plum Village tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh:
listening to the bell, second body, mindful eating, mindful sharing, Dharma text,
dwelling in nature and - if appropriate - communal singing.
No previous experience is necessary - only openness. The walking pace adapts to the group, and we
wait for each other.
